Memo Group

MEMO Group is an Egyptian men's grooming and beauty group: barbershops, a barbering academy, and a cosmetics shop. We built its entire digital ecosystem — management systems for the academy, the shops, and the cosmetics store, apps for students and customers, and websites for the group and the store — all under the same Memo identity. Below you'll find each part in detail.

Services

Memo Barber Academy System

A complete management system for a three-branch barber academy, covering the student journey from first inquiry to graduation with a verified certificate. Nineteen modules handle students, groups, barcode attendance, receipts, expenses, payroll, certificates, and financial reports. Fully Arabic with a right-to-left layout, installable on mobile as an app, and protected by two independent security layers that hide financial figures from staff at the database level rather than the screen. The academy's online courses have their own app and platform — see "Memo Online Courses — App & Platform".

  • 3 branches
  • 19 modules
  • 4 roles
  • Arabic RTL

What's inside the system

  • Nineteen modules and 34 screens covering the full student journey: from a lead, to an enrolled student in a group, to a graduate with a verified certificate.
  • Attendance by barcode scanner or phone camera, with the session deducted automatically — and a row-level lock that prevents a double deduction if the code is scanned twice at once.
  • Complete student file: details, photos, payments, attendance, notes, housing, and remaining sessions on a single screen.
  • Receipts with gapless sequential numbering, direct printing, WhatsApp delivery, and cancellation with a recorded reason.
  • Certificates with a unique verification code and QR, plus a public verification page anyone can open by code without reaching academy data.
  • Daily cash closing: count the drawer and compute the gap between expected and actual.

What you gain

  • The whole academy and its three branches in one system — instead of notebooks, spreadsheets, and scattered WhatsApp groups — with branch data separated while the owner still sees the full picture.
  • No session goes uncounted: it is deducted the moment the student scans their code, with nothing left to reception's memory. That stops the leakage that happens when a student attends and nobody records it.
  • And no session is deducted twice: the system locks the student's row during check-in, so even a double scan in the same instant deducts once. That prevents the disputes that cost time and goodwill.
  • You know who is about to run out of sessions before they disappear — the dashboard surfaces "sessions running low", so renewal is offered at the right moment.
  • Collection is clear: you know who owes what, instead of small balances being forgotten and piling up.
  • The cash drawer is controlled: the daily closing counts cash and computes the gap between expected and actual, so any shortfall surfaces the same day rather than at month end.

Memo Barbershop System

A complete operating system for a barber shop chain on a single database: a seventeen-section dashboard, a website, and a customer app. Every pound collected has an invoice, every invoice is bound to a drawer opened under a named person, and the closing breaks down across all four payment methods. Five roles with permissions enforced inside the database itself, sixteen permissions editable from the screen without a developer, and new branches opened by adding a row with no technical setup.

  • 17 sections
  • 5 roles
  • 16 permissions
  • 4 payment methods

What's inside the system

  • Three interfaces on one database: a seventeen-section dashboard, a website, and a customer mobile app.
  • The money chain is sealed from opening to closing: reception opens the drawer under their name, every invoice binds to the open drawer automatically — and if the drawer is closed, the system refuses to issue the invoice at all.
  • One branch means exactly one open drawer; duplication is impossible.
  • The closing is stamped with who closed it, the shift duration, and a net total split across cash, card, InstaPay, and Vodafone Cash.
  • Refunds are logged under the requester and held "pending review" until an admin approves, then deducted from net — no verbal refunds.
  • Net profit is computed by a formula enforced in the system: revenue minus barber commissions minus branch expenses minus approved refunds.

+ 10 more points on the service page

What you gain

  • Revenue closes to the pound: no invoice is issued while the drawer is shut, and no amount moves without a name on it — so any gap between drawer and book has a traceable source instead of vanishing.
  • You see net, not gross: revenue is a deceptive number, and the system subtracts commissions, expenses, and approved refunds to give you the real figure daily, monthly, and yearly.
  • Month-end commission arguments end: each barber's rate is recorded, commission accrues from their invoices in real time, and the barber sees their own number.
  • Pay is computed on reality, not claims: scheduled shifts are compared against actual attendance to the minute, so lateness and absence are documented.
  • A shift running past midnight is not split across two days in the books — the accounting day extends with it, preventing wrong numbers in reports.
  • Refunds stop being a loophole: they require admin approval, record who asked and who decided, and are deducted from net.

Memo Cosmetics System

A sales and management system for the Memo Cosmetics shop: a barcode point of sale, 80mm thermal receipts, product coding with printed barcode labels, inventory, website orders, customers and traders, and reports. Every product carries three prices — cost, trader, and customer — the invoice picks the right one for the type of buyer, and cost and profit are hidden from the cashier at the database level. It installs as an app on phone and desktop, and shares the same identity as the other Memo systems.

  • Barcode POS
  • 3 price levels
  • 80mm thermal receipts
  • Excel import
  • PWA

What's inside the system

  • A point of sale driven by barcode scans or search by name and code, product cards grouped into tabs, and an alert sound when a barcode is not found.
  • Three prices per product: cost, trader (wholesale), and customer — and the invoice switches to trader pricing on its own as soon as a trader customer is selected.
  • Invoice discount, amount received with change or balance owed, and payment by cash, InstaPay, mobile wallet, or card.
  • Changing an item's price inside the invoice requires a permission, and the change is logged.
  • An 80mm thermal receipt printed after the sale, with the option to print directly without the print dialog.
  • Product coding with barcode labels printed on 38×25mm rolls or A4 sheets, showing the customer price, the trader price, or no price, with label count optionally matching stock.

+ 11 more points on the service page

What you gain

  • Selling by scan, not by memory: the cashier doesn't need to remember hundreds of prices, and the right price appears for a customer or a trader.
  • Wholesale prices aren't handed out by mistake: the invoice switches to trader pricing only when a trader is selected, and any manual price change needs a permission and is logged.
  • Your cost and profit stay private: the cashier runs the whole system without seeing cost price or profit.
  • You see real profit, not just sales: profit is calculated on each item's cost at the time of sale.
  • Stock doesn't run out by surprise: the minimum-level alert tells you what to reorder before it's gone.
  • Every piece leaves a trace: every restock, damage, stocktake, or sale is recorded as a stock movement, so shortages surface and you know where they happened.

Memo Online Courses — App & Platform

Memo's online courses: a student app on Android and iOS, plus a live admin platform that runs the courses, lessons, exams, unlock codes, and students. In the app, students learn cutting, colouring, fades, and beard work through step-by-step videos, with each lesson unlocking the next. Exams are either multiple choice, graded on the server, or practical with a photo reviewed by the admin, and finishing a course earns a certificate in the student's name with a verification code. Courses unlock with codes issued by the academy, each account is bound to one device so content isn't shared. From the platform, the academy publishes courses, uploads videos, generates codes, reviews photo exams, and follows students and their devices.

  • Android & iOS app
  • Live admin platform
  • MCQ & practical exams
  • Verifiable certificate
  • One device per account

What's inside the system

  • A catalogue of published courses showing which are unlocked, which are locked, and the student's progress in each.
  • Each course is split into lessons and exams, with a progress bar showing how much is done.
  • A video player that resumes from the exact moment the student stopped, saving their position while they watch.
  • Sequential learning: a locked lesson simply won't play, and the lock is checked on the server, not in the app.
  • Multiple-choice exams graded on the server with a set pass mark (60% by default), and the answer key never reaches the phone.
  • Practical exams: the student uploads a photo of their work, and the admin approves or rejects it from the review screen.

+ 9 more points on the service page

What you gain

  • A second revenue stream with no room and no trainer: recorded courses sell by code, reaching students beyond your branches with no cap on seats.
  • Your content stays protected: the code locks to the student's account after first use, and the account itself is bound to one device — so neither a code nor an account can circulate among ten people.
  • The exam gate before progressing ensures the student actually understood — your graduates leave with a real standard, which is what protects the academy's reputation.
  • Photo-based practical exams let you judge real work rather than memorisation, without the student coming to a branch.
  • Students resume from where they stopped at any time, and the progress bar pushes them to finish — higher completion rates and fewer complaints.
  • The certificate carries a verification code anyone can check — which gives an online course real weight with an employer.

MEMO Customer App

An Android and iOS app for Memo barbershop customers, published as "MEMO — ميمو": the customer picks a branch and a barber, books a place in the queue, follows their position live from wherever they are, and earns loyalty points on every invoice. It runs on the same database as the shop system, so a booking reaches reception and the barber instantly. Browsing works without an account, and location is used only to show the nearest branch.

  • Android & iOS
  • Choose branch & barber
  • Live queue
  • Loyalty points

What's inside the system

  • Booking in steps: choose a branch, then a barber by name or "any barber" and the system picks the least busy.
  • Each barber's status (available, busy, away) is shown and updates live.
  • A "queue" screen with your position and estimated time that refreshes on its own.
  • No deposit — payment happens in the shop.
  • Loyalty points accrue automatically on each invoice — one point per ten pounds — shown in your account alongside your booking history.
  • Star ratings and a comment after service, feeding into the barber's rating.

+ 5 more points on the service page

What you gain

  • Reception is freed from answering the phone: customers book themselves in the app, so staff return to the register and the people in front of them.
  • Every booking enters the system correctly from the first second — no manual transfer from WhatsApp, no forgotten or duplicated booking with nobody accountable.
  • Customers stop walking out over crowding: they watch their place in the queue from home and arrive on time, and crowds spread out once they can see which branch is free.
  • Loyalty points bring customers back without discounts eating into your margin.
  • A rating arrives after every service, so you hear the customer's opinion before they disappear.
  • The app is the cheapest receptionist you have: it works 24 hours and enters the data correctly at the source.

Memo Group Website

The official MEMO Group website at memobarber.com: it introduces the group and its six businesses — Memo Barbershop, Memo Hair Unit, Memo Skincare, Memo Academy, Memo Cosmetics, and El Monafes — tells the founder's story, vision, and accreditations, and points visitors to the nearest branch and to Memo's apps. Branches and services are read from the same database as the shop system, so any change in the dashboard shows up on the site.

  • 6 businesses
  • Branches by distance
  • Arabic RTL
  • Works on any screen

What's inside the system

  • A homepage presenting the ecosystem, the founder, the operational presence, accreditations, and the vision.
  • A page for each of the six businesses with its details and team, with navigation between them.
  • An "About" page with the group's story: the founder, vision and culture, quality, leadership and team, and accreditations.
  • Branches sorted by distance from the visitor when they share their location, and listed without distance when they don't.
  • A page per branch with videos, a photo gallery, and a direct Google Maps link.
  • A services page fed from the same database as the dashboard.

+ 5 more points on the service page

What you gain

  • The group now has an official home on its own domain, showing all its businesses in one place instead of scattered social pages.
  • Visitors reach the nearest branch in seconds: branches are sorted by distance with a map link.
  • The site works for the app: every page pushes the visitor to download the Memo app and book from it.
  • No double updates: branches and services are edited in the dashboard and appear on the site on their own.
  • The founder's story and accreditations are in front of customers, trainees, and partners, building trust before the first visit.
  • App-store requirements are covered: privacy, terms, and account-deletion pages live on the same domain.

  • Orders don't get lost in WhatsApp: each one enters the system with a number, arrives with a sound alert, and is tracked to delivery.
  • Nothing sold that's out of stock: the site and the shop run on the same inventory.
  • A price you change in the system changes on the site at the same moment — no developer needed.
